As Father’s Day approaches, we here at one876 have been seeking to find the best Father’s Day songs. Right now, mi hear a couple of songs about parents that I have to big up. First one up is Ras Oneilly’s Only Jah Jah Know, a gem of a song that speaks to the emotional torment of the abandoned child. G Maffiah’s Gone on the Kingston 6 Rekords label, is a powerful song on a hauntingly beautiful riddim and Jubilant has one called Mr. Worthless on the Natural Breeze riddim put out on producer Prekeh’s Open Ear music label. The one by G Maffiah (pictured above) ah lead to me because the artiste ah go hard, like him a talk to his mother say daddy gone but he is here to carry on as the man of the house, very touching.
